George Clooney plays Danny Ocean, fresh out of prison and with a new plan. Ocean’s ex-girlfriend Tess ( Julia Roberts ) is now dating casino mogul Terry Benedict ( Andy Garcia ) and Ocean's new plan involves robbing Benedicts casinos, apparently nothing to do with desire to get back with Tess. To assist with this mammoth task Ocean recruits a team of experts played by all star cast Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Elliott Gould, and Casey Affleck amongst others. A great movie made even better by the gorgeous all star cast. Back to top Thelma and Louise Thelma ( Geena Davis ) plays an abused and neglected wife whose best friend Louise ( Susan Sarandon ) is a bored waitress. When the two decide to escape small town life for a brief vacation they run into trouble when Louise shoots and kills a man attempting to rape Thelma, forcing the two women to go on the run. An excellent modernisation of classic road movies with strong and defiant women taking over the lead roles, and a brief but memorable appearance by Brad Pitt as Thelma's one night stand. Back to top Interview With The Vampire Directed by Neil Jordan and based on the best selling novels of Anne Rice, the story begins with a young reporter ( Christian Slater ) interviewing a man claiming to be a 200 year old vampire Louis ( Brad Pitt ). Louis tells how he fell to the cavalier vampire Lestat ( Cruise ) and the tormented (for him at least) adventures that followed. The gothic style and excellent performances make this essential viewing. Back to top Legends of the Fall Raising his three sons away from the chaos of the mid West war against the Indians, Col. William Ludlow ( Anthony Hopkins ) is fiercely protective of them. As they begin to grow into men the youngest Samuel ( Henry Thomas )meets and falls in love with Susannah ( Julia Ormond )who comes to live with them all and changes the fate of the family forever. Idealistic Samuel defies his fathers wishes and goes off to join the first World War the other brothers follow. Brad Pitt plays Tristan, the wild spirited middle brother, and Aidan Quinn plays the responsible and sensible eldest. A gorgeous film with a gorgeous cast, an epic story and fantastic scenery - essential viewing. Back to top Kalifornia When a young couple embark on a cross country trip they get alot more than the holiday they were hoping for. They pick up a couple of drifters ( Juliette Lewis and Brad Pitt ) to help fund the trip but the dead bodies start piling up as they make their way across country. Brad Pitt loses his pretty boy image in this gritty serial killer drama and puts in an explosive performance. Back to top The Mexican Petty criminal Jerry ( Brad Pitt ) is nagged by his girlfriend Samantha ( Julia Roberts ) into giving up his criminal lifestyle. Before Jerry is allowed to give up his criminal past forever the local mob insist he does one last job in Mexico to recover a rare pistol. Jerry finds the pistol but has come incredulous difficulties in trying to return to the States and the mob, suspecting foul play, kidnap his girlfriend Samantha to 'encourage' him to come back quicker. The hit man Leroy ( James Gandolphini ) soon befriends his hostage Samantha and this quirky, at times slap-stick comedy comes to a predictable end.
